Complete Pool Cage & Lanai Restoration
From faded, worn-out enclosures to a clean, like-new finish — all handled by one coordinated crew from start to finish.
A full enclosure replacement is not always necessary. In many cases, a professional refurbishment can completely transform the appearance and strength of your pool cage or lanai for a fraction of the cost of a new structure.
We proudly serve Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, North Port, and Port Charlotte. See our full coverage list on Areas We Serve.
At SCREEN ARMORS, we specialize in restoring aging enclosures through a complete refinishing process that improves appearance, durability, and functionality — while helping homeowners save thousands compared to a full rebuild.
Many older pool cages still have a solid structural foundation. A professional refurbishment can extend the life of the enclosure for many more years, restore faded aluminum to a modern appearance, and improve functionality and structural integrity — all while spending significantly less than a complete rebuild.
The 3-Step Restoration Process
A documented, professional process designed for long-lasting results — not a quick cover-up.
-
1. Deep Cleaning & Surface Preparation
Every restoration starts with extensive prep work for long-lasting results. We remove old screens and damaged components, full pressure-wash the aluminum, clean oxidation, dirt, mildew, and buildup, sand rusted or rough areas for smooth paint adhesion, and mask off doors, hardware, and surrounding surfaces before painting. Proper preparation is one of the most important parts of a durable, professional finish.
-
2. Structural Upgrades & Premium Painting
Once the enclosure is fully prepared, we restore the structure itself: replacing old screws with 304 stainless steel fasteners, reinforcing weakened or rusted structural members when needed, installing new door hardware, hinges, closers, and cables, and applying two full coats of Sherwin-Williams DTM paint designed specifically for aluminum and exterior metal. The result is a clean, uniform finish that dramatically improves curb appeal while protecting the enclosure against Florida weather.
-
3. Full Rescreening & Final Detailing
After painting is completed, the enclosure receives brand-new screen installation in the material that best fits your needs — standard 18/14, 20/20 no-see-um, Florida Glass privacy, pet-resistant, premium polyester, or sun shade. We finish with a detailed walkthrough to ensure doors operate smoothly, screens are properly tensioned, and the enclosure looks fully refreshed from every angle.
Screen materials you can choose
- Standard 18/14 screen — durable, cost-effective visibility and airflow
- 20/20 no-see-um screen — keeps out the smallest flying insects
- Florida Glass privacy screen — wind block, seclusion, opaque barrier
- Pet-resistant screen — heavy-duty for high-traffic areas and pets
- Premium polyester screen options
- Sun shade materials for heat and glare control
